Grand Strand Down Syndrome Society

The Grand Strand Down Syndrome Society (GSDSS) is a non-profit 501c3  organization that was designed by parents for parents.  Our primary goal is to offer support to those who are new to the diagnosis of Down syndrome. GSDSS offers welcome packages to new parents, a place for self-advocates to meet and have fun, and for more experienced families to connect through outings and social events.  GSDSS strives to create a positive image of Down syndrome in the community and offer a sense of belonging.  It is our dream to see individuals with Down syndrome succeed in all aspects of life.

We are having our first annual "It's Almost Summertime"  cookout and Family Fun Day!  More info will be coming, and it will be a good time for all!!  So mark your calendars!!

Congratulations to the Graham, Session and Anderson families for being chosen to receive the Convention Scholarships awarded at the Christmas Party!  We know they will have a fun time, and bring back lots of good information to share.
